Caption

The film was commissioned as part of the "Women on the Front Line" report and presented at COP26 in Glasgow.

The film focuses on Sadia Isacko and the Jaldesa Women's Group.

Women in northern Kenya are fighting for the voice to be heard in community meetings and at local decision-making levels.

Background information

The drylands of Northerm Kenya have had a huge impact from extreme climate conditions. It has been difficult to farm and raise cattle and more money needs to be spent on climate resilient initiatives.

The women have been campaigning for local finances to be invested in projects such as water wells, smart water plants and climate-resilient agriculture.

Christian Aid has supported the women by training activists like Sadia so they're fairly represented at community meetings.
