September 2018. September 2018. Lope and Eva returning from a night of hook and line fishing. The artificial reef and the community efforts have enabled the couple to catch more fish both to eat and sell. Lope and Eva work together to protect their island and livelihood in a number of ways, patrolling the waters for illegal fishermen, building the reef, planting mangroves and advocating for their rights. Without ICODE’s help and the efforts of Lope to guide the community, they’d never have achieved this good a catch. Tabugon island. See trip report for more info.
